The Wilson Cup:

Played annually between Shetland, Whalsay, Lybster, Reay, Wick, Thurso, Stromness & Kirkwall. Each club's team consists of four players playing two ball foursomes in a matchplay format.

Qualifying system is as follows:

Kirkwall Open
Top 10 10-1 pts + 5 bonus for 1st Gross
Stromness Open
Top 10 10-1 pts + 5 bonus for 1st Gross

CURRENT SEASON
Orkney Matchplay Championship
Each Qualifying round 5-1 pts for Top 5 finishes Matchplay Winner 10 pts + 10 bonus pts; Runner-Up 9 pts; Semi 7.5 pts; Quarter 4.5 pts, Qualifier 1 point.
Hamilton Cup
1st Gross 10 pts + 10 bonus pts; 2nd-10th 9-1 pts.
Club Championship
1st Gross 10 pts + 10 bonus pts; 2nd-10th 9-1 pts.
Other SGC/OGC Open Competitions
1st Gross 5 pts + 2 bonus pts; 2nd-5th 4-1 pts
SGC Medals: Quaich/Ackroyd/HC Cups/McVitie/Jubilee/Etc...
Top 5 get 5-1 pts

All ties count as shared points i.e. no countbacks
Bonus points for scores of par or better in any medal round April - Club Championship e.g. 65=1pt, 64=2pts 63=3pts etc. Likewise for any Medal competitions in Kirkwall that are listed as qualifiers.
